Nuggets by Viddsee Projects

As a Digital Content Producer at Viddsee, I played a role in the development of Nuggets by Viddsee. In my position on the Creative team, I was responsible for producing shows that highlighted various aspects of local culture, social issues, and trends aimed at youth in Singapore and the surrounding region.

01

Haunting History was one of Nuggets by Viddsee's first original series. Born from my love of history and all things spooky and supernatural, Haunting History was produced, written and directed by myself with Eugene from Supernatural Confessions as our dedicated host for the series.

Fun fact: I also edited S1 Ep 1 to set the scene for the rest of the series. It was also one of the spookiest episodes of the series!

02

One Last Call is one of my proudest works at Nuggets by Viddsee. Created with the intention to give room and space for grief, One Last Call allows the "caller" to "speak" to a lost loved one. As the director and producer of this series, I wanted it to be as honest and authentic as possible and hence, none of the calls were scripted.

Fun fact: I edited S1 Ep 2 as Bee Yan was my inspiration for this series, having lost her son in the time that I knew her and I wanted to create this series for her.

03

Nuggets by Viddsee's first "reality competition" series, Generation Survival pit 3 Gen-Zs versus their parents to see who would survive better in this custom camp experience. From tent-building to wayfinding at night, the camp put them to the test. As the director, writer and producer of the series, I worked with both the campgrounds and a 8-man filming crew to capture all the moments that made Generation Survival thrilling.

04

Nuggets by Viddsee presents its inaugural blind dating reality series, Blind Dates, which seeks to demonstrate that love can flourish regardless of race or religion. Focusing on multicultural relationships, I developed this series to emphasise that personality and connection are far more important than skin colour or religious beliefs. As the producer and director, my goal was to challenge the stereotypes associated with first impressions by placing participants in separate rooms, allowing them to engage with one another on a deeper level.

05

In collaboration with NVPC, A Love Letter To... was created to delve into the emotional bonds of those who benefit from volunteer organisations. As the producer and director, my goal was to ensure authenticity by having the real beneficiaries write and read letters to the volunteers and individuals who made a positive impact on their lives.

06

One of the inaugural series from Nuggets by Viddsee, To My Younger Self, explores the life lessons learned by adults, providing young people with relatable role models in various situations. As the producer of the show, I was part of casting and crafting the key questions that shaped the content we see on screen.

To celebrate the launch of Nuggets Originals, we decided to transform one of our best-performing series, How I Know, into a new version centered on sexual health. Thus, How I Know: Sexy Edition was created! I contributed to the show as the scriptwriter and researcher for both seasons, and took on the roles of producer and director for the second season.

08

In developing this series, we aimed to explore the question: What if we sought advice from children? As the director and producer, I collaborated with various young talents and influencers to find answers. The responses we received were humorous, heartwarming, and truly remarkable, ultimately making it one of our top-performing shows of the season.

09

In the second season of IRL, we delved into the fresh faces and personalities making waves in Singapore. I took the role of director and producer for this series, collaborating with diverse influencers to uncover their stories beyond the spotlight.

10

Can We Agree Season 2 introduced important discussions for local youth such as whether women should serve in National Service and what it means to be a fur parent. As the director and producer of this series, I focused on casting individuals with diverse opinions on these topics, as well as scripting the questions and managing the set.

In My Honest Opinion S2 was a new venture for me as both a director and producer, as it required writing skits for the informational segment. I found this experience to be enjoyable and fulfilling, allowing us to delve into various values and virtues that resonate with local youth sentiments.

12

As the writer, producer, and director for seasons 2, 3, and 4, I have gained extensive experience in the talk show format. My role involved crafting both the questions and engaging games to captivate the audience, which presented the challenge of generating appealing topics for youth each season. Collaborating with various influencers, hosts and emcees has been a significant highlight, allowing me to connect with many remarkable individuals throughout this series.
